....that said i have NEVER known anyone to not reccommend sealing the joins in any board aquapanel or other!
i have read it... the jointing "caulk" is applied and excess removed, this principal works PROVIDING you caulk the gap without any holes!I'm not disagreeing with you, it's just what the manufacture states in their instructions, take a look please, page 11, I'd be interested in your view.

p.s building inspectors "inspect", they do no detect!
my company gives them photos of construction, hence easier passes, providing we did it right!
