Nice. To be fair, multi finish not really suitable for tiling. As to your images, this why I use fibre mesh on all walls, on every single job at preps wherever need to be tiled . if I know the contractor always ask for not to plaster the bathroom unless it's not fully tiled walls

50m roll check in builders depot. 35quid a roll. /1 m wide. Always have it in my car.

As for preps, using ultra tile primer 2.5 l, then mix it in the flexi rapid adhesive too and mesh all walls. Nothing ever came off. If you need take tiles back off.. you re in trouble 😉

Customer happy to pay extra for safety and proper job. - pls don't do it-said no one ever. The point is communication, which misses many times between trader and client due the traders daily routine. We need to understand, they aren't pros nor have understanding over problems can occur later on due bad walls, floors, which is common thing in England

Mapei cost fortune, and I don't prefer this as its too smooth. The Adhesive doesn't cover much. There are cheaper alternatives but in principle it's very useful

I ve learned and worked in Austria before come to England so brought things with me what worked in cases and I trust. As I fit the preps in my price i rather go for safety and take time on the job. Never had issues but fixes lots of crap work also you can use on tile over tile will not come off. It's personal preference how one like it's work flow and the entire procedure.

That's the prep to me, or taking entire floor off and fix it myself as I Dont appreciate to work after trader I don't know, and its don't pay off to touch the same tile twice. No time for that. I don't use hardi either I rather skim myself and use technics worked all over the years. I appreciate that everyone has they own prefered method just sharing some work flow as you may find useful one day
