Just read this and have an opinion please

I try,too many times to do a good job whith wrong materials.After the job done I'm not happy with result,the client is not happy,so what is the point to do this?Money?Not,you lose more time to fix the cheap tiles then good tiles.Reputation?Noone after couple of weeks tell''Yes,the tiler do a good job with my cheap tiles''.I'm too old to try to do miracle!For miracle,stll searching the tools....Wrong walls?Can be fixed.Unlevel floor?Can be fixed.Wrong tiles?Can't be fixed,just try to do acceptable!

I finished tiling a hall floor today & the tiles weren't great, max 2mm difference between tiles & using a 3mm spacer.
It's an occupational hazard with tiling but no way I would walk away from a job, I just stick more money onto it!!!! [emoji6]

Thanks for the advice that is what I am going to do from now on. What it is, I have been out the game for 2 years as I went back to at aerospace industry. I missed tiling and being my own boss so have returned. Few things have changed as well. Picking it back up quickly tho.

Opinions? They are very happy with the job so far, will be grouted tomorrow and 2nd fix on saturday.

I really don't see it as a big issue I used to fit loads of pilks tiles with crappy spacers lugs on them and if you can keep them stright you can keep anything stright.....lol

Is that a serious question? To keep with the symetrical set out of the window. It had to go in didn't it? Looks good I reckon. But it actually had to go in or I would be bodging it and grout lines would be crossed. Thanks

Its the best way I could set it out the way they all fell into corners. Didn't want the small cut but it had to be that or a tiny slither to the right at the end of the wall (focal point) of the room

How you split the windows.No reason for all this cutting in the left corner and following righ hand..In my eyes,you can match full tiles left and right.

Like I just said tho, it had to be I'm afraid. I hate them too but either that or a really daft cut at the other end of room. To be honest, also would have had to start a full tile off the wall the way you would have gone for, which is always a big NO NO for me

Full tiles in the right hand and almost full tile in the left.IMO.

I always try to not do that I think it looks bad. So then you would have not had your window symetrical. Most important thing for me to be honest. Nice full tile wrap around as well into that far left. I'm happy with ti and you can't go back once you start. Have to make that decision and go with it and couldn't wait any longer standing with my brew chosing which one to go with haha. Cheers for opinion tho

Or center the wondow and start a full tile off the center line depending on the size of cut in the right hand corner ...

Tried that and it had a bad cut far right. I did try every other way lol. I even tried horizontal and rang customer but she wanted the vertical. It was extra work splitting the tiles on the left but either way it doesn't look bad IMO. Seen other jobs off others and they wouldn't have split that line and just crossed over on the joint above and below making it look awful.

I can understand why you have laid out that way. Often a compromise somewhere on layout with some jobs
