large tiles!

I have a couple of floor jobs coming up both laying 600 x 600 tiles. I know one is defo polished porcelain. Not sure about the other as not seen them yet, customer has just told me the size. I was wondering though if you guys use a different adhesive for large tiles this size? or do you just stick to something like BAL Rapid Set Flexi? cheers

Most will use a pourable thick bed adhesive...

Nope!!..

It is an adhesive you mix slightly wetter and pour it...leave to stand for a min them comb through with a deep notch....it copes with large format tiles without the need to back butter..

what are the costs like? is it more expensive? what size trowel would you use?

It's about the same as flexi set.. and a 20mm trowel will be best for PTB adhesives..

BAL do one if you prefer BAL adhesives..

What is the substrate?

I have used Ardex S16, Ardex 7001, Mapei Keraquick and even Profix rapid set flexi (but wouldn't recommend the profix) for 600's that I have done. I've been considering using a PTB but find it difficult to source locally .
