levelling or not?

I think you will find that most ufh instructions now say that you have to cover the ufh with either slc or powered flexy tile adhesive. The instructions will also say that if you do not it might/will invalidate the warranty....

My normal course of action is to cover with slc. However, an alternative method, aside from those mentioned above, would be to use a pourable thick bed adhesive (such as Mapei P4), which will give a "solid bed" fix and help with height differences.

Good luck.

Good advice for one of the jobs on my list!
Is there a specific slc for use on a water-resistant chipboard floor in a bathroom to encapsulate the wires guys?
Thanks in advance.
Si.

not a good idea to tile onto chipboard

this will need either overboarding or if heights an issue the chipboard taking up and replacing with 18mm ply

if you need more detail on this post back

Odd though seeing as that's what Jewsons seem to advise to create floor subtrates in bathrooms apparently? 2 tilers have said it was okay - just to add more screws at closer centres - tile wholesalers said it was okay too! Lol!

@ Diamond Tiling - it's 3.1 x 2.5m.

What are my options then?
