That's what I'm hoping. Someone I can leave to crack on with tiling rooms for me leaving me with no stress and hassle and a top job!

I asked this question a while ago. Think it was called what's a tiler worth or something... Was like years ago. Ok, your van, your diamonds / sponges, your phone, hours 9-5, time + half on Saturday. But I'm not wanting £10 per hour, I will tile only on perfect walls for £10 per hour, I will be asking 25grand per year and for that you get the head , the tail.... The whole dam thing!!

LOL well the only one I have spoken to on the phone so far doesn't even have a driving license. Apparently I would also have to show him how to tile a wetroom floor. An appealing prospect indeed!!

I have one person I am waiting to hear back from. It is not a disaster if I can't, I will tile it myself. I would prefer to get someone in though as I have a load of plumbing work I can't fit in just now.

The best way to find somebody is probably to ask about in tile shops or ask other tilers. Usually they'll be able to tell you who's good but quiet or who to avoid etc. I had an advert on Gumtree for a tiler and had nothing but half wits emailing me with the usual " hi m8 i am a tiler i hav bin tilin 4 15 years i can do bathroms n kiktchesn an fast". If they can't even have the decency to type an email properly for a job then it doesn't say much for their character.

I would agree. This guy was a recommendation from one of the tile shops I used though! Looks like I am going to be tiling this wetroom myself on Tuesday!
