I would like to start a new thread called" love it or hate it" ,we all have jobs where the customer has got weird taste or asks for some unusual setting out its just a bit of fun so i will start the ball rolling with 2 jobs one fired earth mosaic which is £400 a sq m which my wife hates and the other a padana tile called ishia beige which wifey loves and i hate ( bored of brown and beige bathrooms ) i will not be offended if you hate them but please post pics as it should be a bit of fun thanks Gary

Sorry Gary I like (love is for the wife) both!

The mosaic looks better from the distance shot and the detail in the shower area of the other tile would look good closer up - you can never satisfy everyone.

But good work and a good thread.

I'll try and find some photos to post - trouble is Victorian floors tend to have that effect - Love/Hate (or not liked as much as polished porcelain):mad2:

I like the fired earth tiles but I think in that area it makes it look a bit dark? perhaps 'dark' isn't the word. The beige and brown look very smart but I'm with you, there's a lot of beige and brown about. I think the dark brown ones look very smart, I could imagine that bathroom being owned by a bloke who lives and works in the city.

that mosaic is hideous but i quite like the padana , tiles these days are far better than the ones i was fitting in the eighties , if only i had some pictures of em but alas no camera phones then, and your right gary about brown and beige maybe 80/90% of tiles im fitting are so...

Not a fan of the mosaic - too 70's/80's for me, maybe looks better in the flesh?
Like the padana but don't like the almost victorian suite in that setting
Love the last one but dislike the casement windows which ruin it for me, that extra detail would have finished it off. - not your fault i know!

Am I being too picky?

Good thread, thanks for sharing:thumbsup:
