Major gloat ;) - Dewalt Tile Cutter

Tilers Forums Official Sponsors

some wet cutters nick the end of the tile off when at the end of the cut , any problems with the de wal

Only seemed to happen once the supplied blade was past it, after that was changed no problems. Great saw, not very impressed with the supplied porcelain blade, there are better blades out there.

Mine sprays water everywhere no matter how much I play with the flaps from behind 😀

Could do with a better UK ruler rather than the US one, other than that it's crackin'

Agree with the ruler but everyone on site remarked how little spray there was.... even on the tray, and yes i was using plenty of water.

i have had one for 3 years...its so battered it should be full of cod!

and is still the best portable saw on the market!!

9/10......and thats as good as it gets in my book!

Sorry everyone.
Got one of these de-walts , great machine love working with it. Well worth the money .

Re: Major gloat 😉

I will do mate, i really need to find someone with the earlier model to do a comparision as this model has some minor improvements.

Hi Neale I just saw your thread. Congrats on the saw-you are going to love it. I have the earliest, earliest version because we field-tested it for DeWalt. If you want to look at something on the machine, post pics, etc., just let me know.

I was just trying to find out what other modifications they had done between models.
I know they have altered the screw on side plate by adding grooves and that the mounting point where the arm bolts to the main frame has a further 2 locating pins to stop any twisting of the arm on the 4 bolts that could happen over time and use.
