makrist diamond cutting discs

Have to agree, my new "not twisted" CK850 goes through porcelain really well. Makes a nice whistling sound too as it slows down.:74:

I have the 850 also, only found 1 drawback when cutting through ceramics that tend to chip easily (especially dark ceramics with a light coloured biscuit) the marcrist is a poor second to the ceramic Rubi blade as it does chip this type of ceramic quite badly.

Does anyone know if Marcrist make a blade that will fit the Siri Briccolina wet cutter??

Cheers Dave ... juts found one on their website - looks good to me - now just need to find someone who sells them ...

Bricclonlina blades require to have and additional location hole as well as the main boss. I don't think Marcrist make one like that. If they do a 150mm blade at 25.4 centre boss, you would need to drill this additional hole. Don't know how that would affect the warranty though!

Have you been on Contractors Direct?? http://www.cdeuro.com/Tile-Tools/Portable-Tabletop-Tile-Saws/SIRI-Briccolina-Tile-Wet-Saw

Not sure how the 2nd hole would effect the rotation of the blade??? Have a look at their blades - they only seem to have one hole: http://www.cdeuro.com/Tile-Tools/Diamond-Saw-Blade/Siri-Cersiri-Tile-Diamond-Blade so not too sure where the 2nd hole goes?

Bought a brilliant cutter the other day but am taking it back because you either need to wear speedos when taking the water reservoir out (if you're a one man band like I am) or you need to have a helper, which ain't no good to me being a one man band.

So am thinking of sodding it and getting the Briccolina until I can afford the Rubi 250 or 300.

If anyone has cut porcelain using the Briccolina let me know if you've had good experiences ASAP coz I need to get a wet cutter tomorrow??

Cheers in advance!!

This must have been a jinxed post for me.

My 2 year old (Approx) marcrist blade gave up the ghost last Friday..........had to change to the comparable blade.

Got a new today from toolstation.............and they have stopped doing the comparable blade now:furious3:

OK ... how about the montolit wet cutter?? Anyone got any experience with this?? I've got a Montolit 63 and it's the dogs danglies so if the wet cutter is anything like the dry cutter I'll be well pleased!!

Let me know as I'm stuck in the middle of a job.

Cheers.
