Elasticising admixture to be mixed with Keraquick for increased flexibility, and with Nivorapid for not only increased deformability but also improved adhesion on difficult surfaces.
Applications:
When mixed with Keraquick, Latex Plus forms an ultra-fast setting adhesive with high deformability for interior and exterior installations of ceramic tile, stone, insulation panels, gypsumboard, etc. When mixed with Nivorapid, Latex Plus forms a super-rapid cement-based levelling compound with deformability and adhesion for use on highly deformable surfaces in interiors (wood, metal, PVC, rubber, etc.). Latex Plus must substituted for the total amount of mixing water normally used. Coverage
with Nivorapid: 0.6 kg/m2 per mm of thickness;
with Keraquick: varies according to the amount of Keraquick and the mixing ratio. Packaging
10-kg drums.

Ultra-fast drying (4-6 hours) thixotropic cement-based levelling mortar for vertical surfaces for thicknesses from 1 to 20 mm.
Where to use:
Interior levelling on any kind of substrate normally used in building as long as it is clean and not subject to moisture such as:
• concrete slabs and walls, masonry, renders and cement based screeds, etc.;
• also suitable for old floors and ceramic tile, natural stone and terrazzo wall coverings;
• suitable for repairing or levelling steps, edges of columns, depressions and holes in floors, walls and soffits.
Particularly recommended where the substrate must be covered within a short time.
Apply from 1 to 20 mm per coat.
Consumption
1.6 kg/m2 per mm of thickness.
Packaging

I know this is a Mapei thread But has any one used TEC what do you think of it

Mapei is great, there ultracolour grouts are the best i think. Consistent colour, drying, smooth and hard, and in good time.

They do dry faster then others i have tryed (ardex, davco, asa, aba) but dont give up on it, get ur timing right with wash off and the results will show.

The only bad comment on there grouts would be that the white they use to have had a tint of pink in it, not sure if this is changed now.

They have a great range of primers, primer G the most common 1 i use. Have used their MapePrim which is a 2 part epoxy primer. Amazing stuff but needs to be glued on to within 24hrs. Great for when u need to tile on tile.

Recommend going to the training days they have, found it very informative.
Using just 1 manufacturer on site is a good practise to be in for product compatibility and warranty reasons.

I have used mapei grouts but not there adhesives...can anybody tell me what they are like..?..

The P9 is absolutly class ,especially for porcelain on walls !

I'm seeing a decline in the ardex grouts lately !

Hi All,

Hope some one can help, am doing a corner shower and from reading the forums have decided to Mapegum the whole area.

However, one wall is plastered and the other is cement board. From what I can find on the mapei website, I should be using primer g on the plaster and mapeprim SP on 'cementitious substrates'

Will either product do the whole job or should I stop being tight and buy both?

On another note, I'm not sure if I missed it but can't seem to fing the coverage of Primer G. Anyone aware of what the coverage would be using it undiluted on plaster which i think is the correct way?

Advice please...... If I was to have already primed all of the plastered walls with SBR (Everbuild from Tradetiler), is it advisable to apply Mapei Primer G on top of this prior to Mapegum, or do I need primer G for the Mapegum ???

Are the SBR and Primer G (and Mapegum) all compatible with one another?

I have a big problem with my wetfloor tiles that have been grouted for over one year with Mapei Ultraclour Plus. Water is now coming through the grout and through our downstairs ceiling. It is definately the grout and not the pipes as we have tested both.
Should i use a sealant on top of a new grout to make sure this doesnt happen again? Could it be as its upstairs there maybe a flexiability problem as the floor is bound to be more flexible than downstairs?
Any advice on how and what to replace the grout with to stop this would be much appreciated.
