TBH I would of ripped up the old tiles, leveled the floor through and then tiled...

Or in your case .....got a tiler in !!!!

Well all I can do now is remove the old stuff and refit these I thnk, whats sort of prep do you think I need to do....

What about lifting up all the tiles and then this

if you do not see the work you can not understand, find a good tiler
