cant uderstand what you mean as tile trim is desgined for the tile to sit into it, thus the trim will always be slightly proud of the tile. some tile trim as a rubber strip fitted to it depending on the thickness of tile which you can remove so the tile slips into the trim.
can you post a pic of how you fit tile trim please as im eager to learn new things.
I think you are using genesis trim with the rubber strip but the strip is to rise the tile so it sits flush the tiles do not sit in the trim they sit flush

so to get this right, we all know that a edge of a tile is thinner than when if a tile is cut(99% 0f tiles unless its a machined or profiled edge), so when fitting a trim to a whole tile you get the tile edge flush with the trim thus meaning the tile will deffinitely be sitting past the trim causing lippage? correct?

you need to buy trim which is aprox 1-2mm thicker than the edge of the tile you are using which gives you room to get tile flush:8:
