MICK!!...Sorry mate but we can not condone that anybody messes with electrical machinery who is not competent to do this.....A machine is designed and built to run a certain way and we don't want people to void their warranties or kill themselves messing with electrics.....

Tilers forums cannot be held responsible if anybody does as mick suggests...

thanks...dave..

Gulp - quite right, really, and we all love it when you're masterful, Dave, ....almost tempted to come up with something naughty myself

Hi Neil,
I am from N.Ireland too and use Tradetiler.com all the time even for heavy stuff. They really have a great service! All the best, Ian.:8:

Would love to see your tips on floors Mick ....that mosaic one you posted the picture of was the nads ....you were talking 50mm screeds etc .....would be nice to hear the low down on your floor techniques mate

Ok! It would seem as I may have 'JUMPED THE GUN' on the reversing the polarity of your wet saw tip. On further reading it it does also seem that not all motors can be modified in this way, certainly not easily anyway and certainly not without the guidence of a qualified electrican.

I however use wet saws that can have this modification done without voiding any warranties and without damaging the motors on the saw.

So check with your manufacturer and use a qualified electrician to sort out the wiring issues.

And as Dave has pointed out, I and The Tileforums and it's affiliates do not take any responsibility for this modification or any modification to an electrical device.

Seems as though I've had a few enquiries about how to do screeds both in threads and in PM's I'll do a full explaination on doing screeds both large and small, in this thread over the weekend.

It's not all that hard although it does take practice and patience.
