However, grouting stuff like this more than makes up for it. 😀

Chameleon, unfortunately he sent it to me after it had gone back up a tree and disappeared. Not native so was probably someone's pet.

Really appreciate all the input,
The backer board way seems like it would possibly be the easiest for a beginner like me,
Im not a tiler you see, im a bathroom fitter, full service,
Its sleays nice to get the pro’s opinions, every days a learning curve for me with tiling,,

I know a few fitters that use these for spacing. Fill with adhesive.
