Mother of pearl mosaic tiles

Has anyone any experience with them? Just came across them googling for something else, read they are covered in resin and wondered how cutting would affect them? And what cutter to use? They look good, loads of potential..

Ay, said with a sigh ... nearest showroom to me is Harrogate, will have to give them a call...

ctd had some mother of pearl in last year,not sure if it is a stock item or was a one off sample maybe worth a bell g

I did an accent wall with some seashell tile. They were mounted on a paper mesh, I didn't have to do too much cutting but I used a grinder with smooth diamond blade and cut dry. Interesting smell when cutting, smells like burnt hair.
This was left ungrouted.

Wow, thanks, Homza, interesting look. Just for interest, did you wear a mask when cutting? I had a vague memory from somewhere that seashell dust was very toxic, your mention of the burnt hair smell reminded me of it, googled it just now and yes, there are loads of warnings about it. Was there any warning on the tiles you used?

No warnings but I did wear a mask and cut outside. Thanks, didn't realize it was toxic.
