My father just died ...

He died just 30 minutes ago, in Germany, at home, my Mum there. For those who knew it was imminent, thought I'd let you know, get it out the way somehow. I don't know what else to say....

Thank you all, its' so strange being here, between us all we arranged that when it would happen my parents didn't want me to come to his funeral but to stay with my Mum after all the upheaval has calmed down, when she is alone and needs someone the most. So that is what is still happening, I think, but I really don't know what to do with myself right now, if that makes sense?
I even managed to speak to him still this afternoon, he couldn't speak any more but I told him I love him and wished him a safe journey... crying buckets, but somehow it's ok, too, .... I had a tiny ready decorated Christmas tree delivered to them this afternoon, my Mum thought he couldn't see it or anything else any more, but he knew it was there, and he heard my voice... so that's all good, isn't it? I think?
