Hi all,
This is my first post and i would just like to say hello.
I do have a question... I have a kitchen floor to lay which did have marley tiles on it, the owner has removed the tiles but there is still a thin layer of bichemin (probably spelt wrong) can i lay directly onto this or maybe put a self leveling compound down or do i have to put ply down? If i have to ply the floor how do i secure it to the concrete floor with the bichemin on it?
Thank you in advance for any repies.
Andy

welcome to the forums m8,why dont you get as much of the black stuff off and self level the floor?

Hello andy and welcome...

If it is well stuck then SLC over it as you say.. ... prime with an SBR primer..

ATA (Asphalt tile adhesive) can be removed by heat gun, it will leave a residue. As above prime with SBR. Good luck:welcome::thumbsup:
