the crew might be too shor or the thread may be knackered. Turn of the supply and have a wee look or try a longer screw.

If one fits but the other doesnt, take them both out to see if they are the same lenght

I always turn the 40amp cooker point off. I saw a sparks get a belt off one on a kitchen i fittd a few years ago, he assumed it was still off. Oh how i laughed
