Hi there.
The sub floor is chip board in conservatory and chipboard in the room leading out to it. Total area 25 Sq m. The tiles we have bought are porcelain 30 x 60 cm. I have been told that as the floors are sound I can lay 6mm exterior ply, nailing (not screwing) at 75 mm centres. I have also been told that before laying my tiles I should seal them. Now there is nothing on the box about sealing the tiles or what other preperation I should do to the ply that I have to lay before I start tiling.
Also the range of adhesives is massive. Obviously I cant use one that is for concrete floors but what is the best to use on wooden floors in a conservatory that is going to get very hot in the summer.

help and advice appreciated
Toby

Toby - Help and advice needed!

You say a chipboard floor - are there joist under or is it a 'floating' floor.
6mm plywood and nailed - NO.
Mapei do a range of cement based Flexible adhesives.

More help to follow!

Timeless John.
