okay dilz, in simple terms,you put them on an adequate thickness plywood, ie wbp 25mm, that is
not prone to warping!

12mm or 18mm ply in diy sheds is almost as expensive as buying cement boards so its a false economy

yes doug im aware of not skimping on the ply, I just always thought that cement boards didn't add any strength, hence you always ply first then overboard with the cement board?

Also, do TG stock cement boards?

or you can put backer boards over solid and imean solid floor boards

ok well found some on ebay 7.82 a sheet but its courirer delivery which could be nasty, are you allowed to recommend tile warehouses and such on this website?

ok ok ive just added to my basket in topps tiles 2x hardi backer boards 6mm as i have the 6mm plywood also so 12mm be enough? a scoring knife and will i need the mesh tape?
