I did it myself too to be fair. I put too much trust in them really I thought it all disolved and the mesh became reinforcement. lmao - Imagine that. Transformertiles.

Tell ya what Dean.. i have never known a thread to still cause grief, long after the job is complete..

Well you know im new to this posting stuff, i didnt read all the previous replies like from the begining lol.

So heres my appologies to you all, i didnt see the tiles in question i can now say hand on heart that the tiler was correct not to install in a wet area.

Ive installed these tiles in a few porcelanosa showrooms around the country, in a wet area display and they are not suitable at all.

Apart form the backing issues and coverage, you can only use a 6mm trowel because of bleed through issues.

Plus they are a nightmare to grout and clean down, they rip sponges to pieces.

So the tiler should of walked away and kept his reputation, sales people sell things they dont know jack ---- about product info...

Not that impressed that sales people know "Jack". Unfortunately tilers can be and are just as bad, you have only got to read your post, meow! If they were not suitable why did you install them in their showrooms?

Because its a showroom and not a working wetroom, and to be honest i know its a free country and everyone can post on here, but im right the majority of sales people just want to sell,
and after the sale they dont really give a damm about the customer or the consequences.

Im sure your not like the above and i respect your comment, so nice to chat with you...

Good old talk, "I done the job because i was paid well". Cool with me, case closed.

Any way i need my Beauty sleep, as i need to sell some meshed back mosaics and some tubed glue and pva to an unsuspecting punter in the morning for his outside toilet. Night all xx

Right, I think this thread has run it's course now. Thank you to everybody for their input.

Thread closed.

Don't mind me while I bump some old but popular threads to see if the topic is still active in some way. Wondering if either the original idea or original issue still exists. I've done this with quite a few threads, so don't be offended if this is just jargon these days and not applicable. But I thought there might be a small chance a small percentage of the small number of threads might just be slightly applicable and the thread could get a new lease of life.

Reply to this if you've read a bit and have something to say. 🙂
There IS going to be a bigger chance when i do this, that the thread is dead. So don't worry if that's the case, just don't reply to it, and we'll all move on and let the thread drop out of view again.

Bump Bump

Just bumping some of the older popular threads. Probably wont be current discussion these days but I just need to do it. So just ignore the thread if it's not current for you.
