Your price £1174.39 less
Tiles £623 = £551.39 Less SLC 11 bags @ ?, lets say £12 = £132 = £419.39.

About 7 bags of Adhesive ? approx £90

leaves you £329.39 for one day levelling plus laying 30 m2 of tiles .

Are you happy with that ???

That price was what I worked out the materials inc tiles at retail price. tile giant sell kerraquick 20kg @ £31 but charge me £** with my Tilersforums discount. would you charge more than home insurance what you pay for it or what it costs joe public?

I think I'm a bit confused.

Charge list price for your materials and some people add a little bit more if it's for an insurance job purely because you have to wait a decade to get paid, but....

the insurance company is not paying you, the customer is and is getting the money back after. So bare in mind that it is the customers cashflow that is getting used here, if the price is too much he may look else where just so he doesn't get stung until he gets paid, also have in mind that some insurance companys will have thresholds for certain types of work, what this means is that they will ask the householder to get at least 1 quote if it comes under the threshold it gets ok'd if it is above they may ask the householder to get 3 or 4 quotes. Or even send out a loss adjuster

What you should realise is the Insurance Company will ask your customer to supply 3 estimates and they will offer him the payment for the lowest.
So unless you are the lowest estimate or have impressed the customer significantly is he going to pay you the extra money out of his own pocket?
The floor must be in a real 'mess' to need 11bags of self leveller (27sqmts) and do you have to remove the old tiles?
I'am assuming your £1100+ is your Retail price for all materials and your asking how much extra to charge for Labour.
