price checking??

hi all
i would like comments on 2 jobs that i have priced this week and told that i was too expensive, now i know that prices can vary from area to area but i dont really think that my prices are expensive so i would be interested to know what you think.

job 1.

18 sqm kitchen floor 450 x 300 ceramic tiles fitted brick bond.
6 sqm kitchen splash 100 x 100 ceramic tiles 4 electric sockets.
22 sqm bathroom walls 300 x 250 ceramic tiles.
5 sqm floor 300 x 250.
bathroom floor to be overlaid with marineply.
all materials included
all materials are mapei from the primer to the grout and sealant.
3 stainless profiles
total price including labour £1100.00

job 2.

13sqm kitchen and utility floor ceramic 300 x 300
6 sqm splash area 100 x100 ceramics 5 electric sockets
again all materials included and will be mapei.
profiles to be arranged.
total price including labour £520.00.

all comments would be gratefully recieved even if you do think that they are too expensive.

If you can manage without the work mate, let them get on with it - don't get involved in an auction but that's only if you can survive without it

I think your pricing is fair mate. Some guys would charge that for fitting only plus their mark up on the adhesive etc supplied.

i would have been more expensive also,but thats the way it is at the moment,people can manipulate the situation because there is no work and force you into either leaving the job or do it for a price they think is fair
