Think of us country boys Peter , we're on lower rates again. I'd struggle to get £15 for stone down here. People will spend money on fancy tikes then cry about the price of fitting them

For the record, 2 days labour, materials supplied as mentioned I'd be looking around £380/400

Another point, bricklayers & plasterers are getting as little as £60 a day round here now Most people Think the tiler should work for the same money.... We weren't getting the £200 + a day when the thing was going good though !!

I was on more than that 25 years ago....thats shocking.

Grim enough. A kitchen company's tiler from the back of beyond was on the same job as me laying 800x800s in a kitchen, saying he was on a tenner a metre. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I was getting £14 for the 600x300s up the stairs. :lol:

David Scotts are the boys to be in with, their fixers are getting £17-18 all day long. The English lads wouldn't get out of bed for that. :lol:

Every man has his worth, it's just surprising(maybe not. Lol) that the converted brickies joiners and the got up one day & decided to be tilers etc that are tiling are asking for more money than established tilers. Tbh I'd been lookin more than £10M for those 800x800 lol

Suppose it depends, although just cause you're on the Malone Road doesn't mean you'll get more, they're usually the boys squeezing you down and wanting you to work through your tea. :lol:
