Pricing for mitre cuts

Tilers Forums Official Sponsors

I would charge a linear metre, if they change their mind it will help to adjust your price

Cheers for all your replies guys, after much thought I put in a linear rate as well as m2 rate. Reason I done this is because it was marked as "extra over" in the tender. We should either find out this week or if not the start of year. If I'm succsessful I shall be looking to sub some work out to another tiler in the central belt, would be good to pass on work in this climate and would also help me out as there's a few bathrooms on the go for start of year. Fingers crossed!

Trevortine - A bit confusing in your original thread that you ask if you should charge extra for mitring when the tender states - 'extra over' for mitres!
As my reply in no.3 keep it seperate in your pricing but reduce your fixing rate/m2 if you want to be competitive!
Full information is often the way to get accurate replies!
Its been fun!

I would try take a sample of tile and try cut it first before pricing so many meters, but I would charge per meter for sure, if it's porcelain then it is pain to cut it nice some tiles chip really easy if you try to cut closer to the edge
