i use a usefull website called:

allows you to convert square inches to square metre - pretty useful stuff.

I've just finished doing 16m2 in slate, on a diamond pattern, loads of cuts on a plastplug wet cutter, no probs. i charged £30m2 plus mats. but if i get slate again it will bee at least £35m2

to convert sq yards to sq meters multiply the yards by 0.8361 bingo you have sq meters hope it helps. as for slate tiles i use a wet cutter the cheap £30 ones out of homebase and keep it only for slate tiles. BUTTTT I USE COMMON SENCE AND REFUSE TO WORK WITH THEM NOW EVEN IF IT WAS THE ONLY JOB GOIN...

Don't be sucked into the "price it right and there will be loads more work" many people say this to get a cheap job done and have no intention of getting you to do more jobs. What gets you jobs is being honest, pricing fairly and doing good work..Mark.
