Protilers - tiling in Acton, W5

Nice pics, Very detailed and looks great.
Just can't understand why they would install a steel bath?
Looks like a Kaldewei
fitted a few and hate them. Not cheap, To much heat-loss and poor finish.
Apologies if its not a kaldewei.
I would have a corrian bath any day.

As I got to the window in the shower there was another little problem....I will fix that tommorrow....but I have managed to hit all the set out the client required by changing spacer size and wiggling!!!....
three hole tiles off the bath and whole tile and half tile "almost" everywhere else............

tough little job IMO......

all the best

Hi lee, pics looking good, one bit of advice for you though, be more forceful with whoever dictated where your tiles need to go... That's your job to decide that, now you have that small cut round the bottom ( that would do my head in, not because it can't be done, it's just unnecessary if you where involved in the setting out) ... Grrr, makes me sweat just looking at the cuts on that bottom row. Very nice job though lee.

How about a soldier course to bottom row? Lose the sliver and follow un-level floor.bit late maybe!

Evening all.......

to finish up the post.....here is what went on today!!!!.....

yesterday I had a problem with the window in the shower......basically, the new sand and cement render was proud of the frame for the window......so I added some hardibacker and then floated the whole area..

all the best and nite nite.......

customers always right but those 100x200 over a large area are to busy for me..too much like London underground or public toilet..

Hi Charlie......I signed up to the job because I said I could get it done, the set out was designated by the builder because the idea was the tiles are "flush" with the plasterwork....
in other words the plaster work is 8 - 10mm proud of the hardibacker....and was there before I started.....here is a piccy:

img2002d.jpg

and this means that the whole tiles had to be abutted to the plastering bead (would not want the small cut there!!!)to create the "flush" finish.............
the rest of the set out was down to me choice of spacer size etc......and I went with the best of most worlds...........IMO

all the best and thanks for the post

Lee
