A friend of mine is in the trade and they used to have a wind up one.
You turn the handle for so long and it would last so many hours. They listen to what ever they could pick up in the area but mainly radio 1 or talk sport.

Was good until someone turned the handle the wrong way a few times : (
 
Do love the radio on more as a back ground sound, I've been working on my own for to long:whatchutalkingabout
 
oh and just as i was about to set off for college the radio arrived! i popped my drill battery into it and took it to college, had it on full whack in the workshop all day for all to enjoy and then did a spot of tiling in the evening till 7:30pm and then the battery died, guessin it will last longer as i wont be having it on full whack in someones house (bloody loud) so overall, im very impressed, the sound quality is very good, much better than i expected, highly recommended :thumbsup:
 
you must be making tooooo much money mrspoon..lol

still stick to the old tranny,usually radio 1 or Real radio but not when a GUY called Steve McKenna COMES ON...CANT GO HIM.
