Ok, here's one I've not come up against before. I've a couple of ideas (yeah right!) but I want to pick some brains first before I start the job.

Bathroom window is going to be exposed to the shower, and the vertical edges of the wall around the window "return" are curved with a radius of about 50mm. My 1930s semi has the same around its windows, but none of mine are tiled - all papered!

What would you do to build up to a square edge for tiling?

Tiles are 250 x 200 fitted portrait.

Thanks guys! 🙂

couple of options here,

1 use moaics to go round the curve as they come in netted sheet form.

2 get a plasterer in to square the window edge off.

3 you could always dot and dab some plasterboard on the walls and square off the windows with same giving you the lines you need for the tiles you have.(would only do this if a small wall as it is giving you unnecessary work)

4 if you are doing it yourself you could use rapid set and smooth as best you can to get square but you would need to work quick for obvious reason, this might take a couple of applications to build out wall.

5 tile the wall as normal and when you get to window use rapidset to back butter tile to wall level, this is probably what i would do.(use a tile trim for a good finish)

Thanks Brian,

Option 5 is what I felt fastest and best, so thanks for reassuring!
