If your working off a table then you can just bend down a bit to see the wheel it’s no big deal once your used to it.

Searching for some nippers at the bottom of my tool box and sliced my fingertip on one of my Gundlach scrapers (virgin blade)
P**sing blood everywhere and only had insulation tape handy so wrapped it up good.
Been grouting all day and finally took the tape off - LOL look at the state of that 😀
