I like the idea, one of the organisations i belong to
www.projectbook.co.uk which if anyone is interested is for craftsmen & woman nationwide. they are organising meets as well.
I think it would be good for us as well because we all have different skill sets and could cross train skills etc and swap jobs that you either don't want or can't do like i only tile bathrooms & kitchens for friends & family or reall one -off bespoke jobs.
So any domestic or contract tiling i am happy to pass on to others and any out there who get stuff in my skill set i would be happy to get those and offer on-job training should the tiler want it
you could rotate meets in an area so those further away get a chance to go to a meet near-by rather than set one place.
Also tile shows and tool shows are often handy place to meet up we could have massive meets that way like at NEC etc.
Be harder for guys & gals in other countries but they would have their own. brilliant idea because we could be a force to reckon with e.g. buying power for tools & materials.
Also job wise we could easily out perform any established tiling co because of man-power & experience and skill sets. we must know nearly everything on every aspect amongst the bretheren?
