Hello all!
Do the guys out there that use Rubi cutters use the maintenance kits? Wanted to know if they are any good or whether I should just get some Silicon spray?

I got one with my cutter, I use it to clean and running smooth but IMO Silicon spray would be just as good

Did you know that WD40 eats the rubber stops on the rails and inside the guides..:yikes:.. use Silicon spray.

I didnt know that but I found that WD40 helps it slide but dust sticks to it. Thanks very much guys, Il be buying myself some Silicon spray.

Silicon spray for me. I use a Trend one as I have it knocking about for my router bits. Couple of quid for a small spray or about £11 for 330ml can which would keep you going for a very long time

WD will get you out of a sticky situation 🙂smilewinkgrin::ban🙂 but causes more trouble than it's worth with dirt and as Dave says can eat rubber (but not all types of rubber)

I've always used WD40, but I think I'll get a tin of silicon spray now
