will a ruby star 60 n plus cut 610mm by 210 tiles smooth porcelain tiles ok?The blurb on the cutter says 24inch or 610mm max tile size but......? I'm tiling out a shower room and only need it for this one diy job. i can get the cutter for £95 which doesn't seem to expensive as i got a very good deal for the tiles. Previously i've used wet cutting discs on a old b&q machine but i'm concerned i won't be able to use this on such a big tile as the line might wander or at my age i might fall asleep before the end of the cut.
Once i've spent the £95 i suspect my wife might want the utility room tiled but hopefully not

The only way to know for sure would be to try it!! The Ruby Star 60 is not the most capable of cutters and may struggle with the porcelain, coupled with the fact it is going to be a tight squeeze!!

You could try and hire out a cutter from a tool hire place with a larger cutting ability, and with a higher powered load to ensure you get it done..failing that, start working on your thick Silicon jointing to cover up using the wet cutter!!
