Been asked to go a job this morning but I am too busy. When I spoke to joiner I told him that the old floor tiles would need to come up. And he could go from there.
He just phoned me there and said another tiler is going to do job. His idea is putting a self level old tiles and tiling on top of That.
I have not heard of that before. Anyone ever practised that before. As I said I ain't doing job . But the joiner is asking me for advice as he doesn't think it sounds very clever either

I am the same. Not seen job so not really sure. I am guessing the last floor is uneven. Would the self level even bond to existing floor tiles

here it is normal. tile on tile.
If the old tile. They are stable.
primergrip Mapei, do not use self-leveling (not convince me). Use mortar fibered type keralevel kerakoll or Planitop Mapei. then tile

Yeah I've done it. If everything's sound then it's all good.
