Show Us YOUR Work Thread - Tilers Pictures

Tilers Forums Official Sponsors

Edit May 2024: THIS is a New Show Us Your Work Thread for 2024 Onwards

This is the new Tilers Showcase Forum where we want new tiling work added, with each tiling job you complete having a thread of its own so people can see what kind of work you do, and potential customers can find your work

I thought it was about time we had a thread dedicated to all members of Tilers forums to show us any work that they do.

Be it from installing a kitchen to garden decking. Show us your work! Get those pictures taken, but then do something with them! Actually add them to a thread and some facebook groups with your website link in them etc and it'll help spread the tile love. 🙂

If you have done a job then please do share it with us.

Pics are a MUST as what is the point of sharing a job without them..:smilewinkgrin:.

So if you do a job and you take a few pics then please do share it with us.

Lets make it a big thread for all to view and input in.

Thanks Dave ..:thumbsup::thumbsup:

dave ,
it was rainbow pools who did the inside tiling . not my favourite pool company. have you heard of problems with slate in pools as well??
client wanted me to do inside as well as surround but i was a bit nervous about this chinese slate. I had heard some horror stories about it changing colour and joints bleeding white. it does look really cool though especially with pool lighting on.
the brazilian stuff i supplied for surround and copings was great product to work with.
Ive only ever done the inside of one pool and that was only because no one else would touch the tile product . i had worked for client before and she was desperate to use moroccan habibi mosaic. i will see if i can dig out a photo of that pool.

Guys as a DIY'er I joined here a few months ago, it's been a real pleasure looking at your work and admiring your workmanship, I'd done a couple of cheapo Flat refurbs but you lot inspired me to have a crack at my own bathroom, I was nervous of cutting 900mm tiles but bought a big Montolit cutter from Tradetiler, (really helpful people), and they were a doddle! fabulous cutter, I was tempted to post on Sir Ramics Sigma love in thread! all the tiles were Porcelanosa and I used Benflex adhesive for the wall tiles.

So, mistakes.. well working with fast setting adhesive for the floor made me rush, plus I got the bloody stuff everywhere! definitely didn't spend enough time planning the niches and how their positioning would affect tile layout, and it was only towards the end that I realised trowel handles sit over the edge of a bucket and save them disappearing into the addy!

I'm about to attempt to extend an existing slate kitchen floor, I'll let you know how that goes but in the meantime a big thank you for answering my questions and for the wealth of knowledge and expertise on this site, really grateful to you guys for sharing that.
