I think 'most' cutters would cope, just scouting for options, something light so can be used up a scaffold but sturdy / strong enough to cope with repeat cuts.

Havent tried but I see no reason why it shouldnt do the job. I think it would cope well.
I wonder if Derek at SigmaUk has something knocking about that you could try. That would make a nice article to read.

If I remember correctly I cut a few brick slips on my manual about 8 years ago. Needed scribed s few times but worked.
 
Don't want to sound silly but what are brick slips? are these half bricks or something?.

I see now. Don't think it would be a problem with them although I have never tried to cut any. If i ever see any I shall get a few to test for myself.

Thanks, the cut doesn't have to be clean, as long as it's straight ish,
