Re: sigma or rubi

what i talkto sigma about is private :tongue3::tongue3::tongue3: lol just coz you got free beeis why cant i
so ill ask agen whats it to be sigma or rubi
from my experience, the TX range of Rubis have been great, no problem whatsoever, the ts 40 was an awesome little cutter for basic ceramics. Never tried a sigma, apart from a wet cutter (not sure what model), but that was miles better than my rubi cutter, although since then I've put a monty dna blade in my wet cutter so I guess i can't make an accurate comparison. On the plus side for sigma, I did get a T-shirt,,,never had one from Rubi lol!

Re: sigma or rubi

Of course they are easy , I took to them straight away and they blitz rubi cutting all day long :).

But a tilers tool and not a toy :)

Thats not what I meant. Its easy to try out a Rubi before you buy cos they're widely available. Sigma on the other hand are not widely available so unless you're lucky enough to live near either a stockist or a user, its a leap of faith to buy one without giving a go first.

It's true Sigma are harder to find if you want to have a go first but more and more retailers are starting to stock Sigma tools. I'm sure it won't be long before you will find a stockist close to you. We have not been in the UK long so of course it will take some time for stores to pick up on these products. Also it's down to people like you who determine if a product will make it on to the shelfs. For a long time now there has only been one option for you to choose from. We are offering people the choice to decide what suits them the best.

Re: sigma or rubi

I use both. Sigma for larger format tiles 600 and above and Rubi for basic ceramics. Love Sigma though no box for carrying around as standard, a bit of a pain. If you have only used Rubi before the Sigma takes a little getting used to but worth it long term and i think a far better product.
