it's the same as the peugeot bipper G.. cute van

my car has the Vauxhall Combo engine in it, so technically, i drive a van :hurray:

Hey, Liz, do you happen to know why Peugeots and Citroens are so similar? I'm really paranoid about French repair costs, and the citroen berlingo seems incredibly popular as against the peugeots... up here anyhow...

.....because they are the same company and the vans are built in the same factory, they just have different names and slightly different interiors and finish to separate out the marques!........

Saw this and remembered you were looking for a van. Thought it might be of interest.

Just caught up with this thread. I bought a Bedford Rascal in early Jan 07 as I was using my Corsa car and didn't want to bash it about to much, plus wanted a bit more space. The Rascal was laughed at but certainly got me noticed and remembered.

I kept the Corsa and by shopping around managed to get an introductory NCD of 30% as I had 9+ years on the car.

The van originally cost 600 and 250 to get it through its MOT in May 07 and only the test fee in May 08. sadly the engine blew up in Oct 08 but I still managed to sell it for 200 to a Rascal specialist breaker. The are becoming a bit of a cult/collectors van now.

The old Suzuki is exactly the same as the Rascal if you look at the engine it says Suzuki on it. After they stopped making the Rascal Suzuki updated the design to meet safety standards by adding a bonnet, which is nothing more than a crumple zone. Suzuki also stopped production a few years ago.

You haven't said what sort of budget you have I have seen late model Suzuki's at up to £K4

Daihatsu also sold a simlar sized/shape van but no longer does. It was actually made by Piaggio of Italy who are still making them. They are available in the UK but only have a small dealer network have a look at Woodford Motor Company - Piaggio Porter Vans

If the Piaggio interests you PM me I may know of one locally that was preregistered by a local garage and was on offer with only a few thousand on the clock.

Good hunting
