Still good, one of the originals that came with the saw, the dewalt porcelain one.

A few progress ones, painstaking doing al the pieces individually but, it was the only way to get it flat with minimal lipping, the mosaics that come on the sheets are ridiculous money and the lippage on them is horrendous.

I think the slate cost £20 m2 so £120 for this lot, the split face mosaics are about £100 m2, it's taken 4/5 days to do so far, so quite labour intensive but, a far superior result than using the mosaics IMO.

Those are very similar to the ones we have done in a pub refurb not long ago, as you say Bri the lipping is terrible on some of them.

Just a thought do you recycle the water through the DeWalt?

I fill up a Bal mixing bucket & put the pump in there so as im always running clean water. Prop the bucket up on my JML big blue step. :smilewinkgrin:

I use the dirty water yeah, always run a bucket of clean water through it at the end of the day, it's not very often it gets as dirty as it is in these pics.

I would go black mate, nightmare to do but will look smart.

lay a sheet of the tiles on the floor and put the grout dust over the joints. smooth it of with your hand and then stand back and look at it. If you don't like sweep it up and try a different color.

Real nice effect and would say you saved yourself a fortune and improved the quality tenfold rather than using sheets of splitface.

Carpet should be going down this week so I'll get a pic of it unveiled ASAP. Mrs Bri loves it so I'm popular today, good job really coz having an all dayer for the F1 and football tomorrow!

I considered attempting to profile the edges before grouting, then thought better of it! The dust may well have got me in a bit of bother with the in house cleaner!
