Stabila LAX 50 Self Levelling Laser

I have been using a LAX 50 in a recent en suite job. It is very easy to use and quick to set up. It comes with spare batteries and an integrated stand/ case. I thought it was very good value for money and the ability to rotate it on the pole through 360 degrees so that levels around the room were equal was amazing.

Cuts down "measuring up" time down to less than half what it what normally take. I quickly established that the coving was out by a couple of cm's at each end of the room and this meant I adjusted my tile setting out accorsingly so I had no tiny cuts.

The extendable pole has a rubber buffer at one end too so the newly plastered and painted ceiling in the room was left scratch free and unmarked.

Does anybody have one of these lasers...?

I am thinking of getting one for a big job i have coming up for ease of datums etc..

My question is... I notice there is no pendelum lock on it... so have you had any calibration issues etc..?

Dave, the ON/OFF switch is the pendulum lock. I check it every day before use with my STABILA spirit level, and have found no problems at all

Dave - we used the 90 degree DeWalt last year in France ( did I mention we were there) and it was great!
After my chalk runs out I'am definitely going to save for the DeWalt.
Unless of course you know of anyone who needs it tested?

I think i might get the stanely one.. i prefer the straight pole included as well...

It is just for setting out this large shop area's..into multiple rooms..and of course will be handy for future jobs...

Not something i thought i would need as i have been a good user of alevel but we all have to move with the times and what ever makes our jobs easier hey!!...
