Stanley fatmax Extreme level. Worth getting over a normal box level?

Hi everyone.
I need to purchase a 1.2m level and have seen the Stanley Fatmax Extreme for £25. The normal 1.2m Stanley box level is also on the site for £12. Is there any point buying the Fatmax Extreme? Is it so good I really have to have one and if so, what is different about it? Many thanks.

Think i would proberbly opt for the Stabila levels over Stanley's FM.

Thinking of getting a new 6' level - Stanley is on my short list along with Stabila and (believe it or not) Wickes Pro Level.

I have 4 FM at the moment, had stabila before these. Both good quality levels.
The stabila's got a battering when me and a mate were building block walls in my new house and he was hitting them with a mallet :incazzato:.
This threw the bubbles out so they are now relegated to battens when needed and replaced with FM's as they were on offer at screwfix. Only thing I slightly prefer on the FM is addy comes off them easier. Buy a decent make and don't throw 'em about then a levels a level.

I have the Stanley Fatmax XL, proper milled edges and I love it. Best level I've ever had.

I've got two sets of 2', 4' and 6' levels. One set of Stabila that i take good care of. The other set is a cheap buy of forge steel from screwfix. Handles are handy for knocking in board when when D and D'ing.
