Have a job to do (labour only)

....small 2x2mtr odd shaped porch with 2 different sets of steps off it ( 4 steps in total) .....1 set of (external) steps formed in ply ...which will need re-working a bit, the other (internal) set is standard concrete. The porch is half concrete, half timber, so slc and ditra matting required.

the other bit is another 2mtr (ish) odd shaped porch, one set of three steps and another single step -all concrete

Don't have the exact measurements but it's an average domestic type affair ....steps are about 200 high, 300 wide, say 2 metres (ish) long.

All to be done in porcelain with an edging profile.

I've never done any steps before and I haven't a clue how to price this -would appreciate your comments guys.

Any tips gratefully received too  ....does the substrate have to be bone dry for the job to be done ???

struggling to visualise it mate,(got a glass of red on the go!) can you not go day rate?

yeah, it's a bit of a pain ....it's just been sprung on me tonight ....due to another part of the job being delayed ! ....he's going to get the tiles in the morning, so no doubt he'll be expecting a price too ! :mad2:

basically customer has had a new external door fitted to what was an open porch ....so the (external) steps up to it have been formed in ply ....when you go in the door you're in a wee (internal) porch ....floor all over the place, half concrete and half timber ...to the right is another door with a couple of steps down to the garage

The other bit is 3 concrete steps up to an (external) open porch then one single step to the front door

that probably doesn't help any either tho !

external steps in ply, even exterior, will warp to buggery over time, can you use ply as a shutter and concrete them?

Mmmm .....think it would probably be best just to get some pre-formed concrete ones then mate, cheers
