No way mate, I haven't got the skills, it's all al la Tesco's I watch most of the cookery progs in awe. I take my hat of to you all, your recipes above sound lush / drools on keyboard, I am going to start getting more adventurous when at home ( in the kitchen )

it's all about having a go Alan. hubby has a go, and if the flavour isn't quite right, we try again another time and see how it goes. it's always the simplest meals that taste the best

try this if you like teryaki

get a litre of pineapple juice,2 small bottles of soy sauce,a whole bulb of garlic,a big chunk of fresh ginger and 8 tablespoons of brown sugar

get all the liquids in a pot and smash the garlic and smash the ginger and add with the sugar,boil for 25 mins then let cool..plop a couple of rump steaks in th mix and marinade for 24 hours then either bbq or grill amazing
