Mr Tiler

Hi lol well I will start by saying I have been debating over the last few days with the missus whether or not to go into employment... so decided to look for work. within 24 hrs of looking I thought I had managed to secure a position. but as people know how agencies are I was asked if i could start Monday and said yes. was then informed on Saturday that I wont be needed :-/... but had a meeting with my business advisor today. My business plan has been signed off and as from Monday I will be a self employed wall and floor tiler. as for employment I also found out today that even when self employed I can still be employed which I didn't think was possible. so the hunt for a part time position begins once this month is over and I have hopefully impressed the bathroom company I will be tiling for enough to startb passing my number to customers... the only question is, do I rip out the walls or 2 layers of floor tiles first lol thanks

I am starting on Monday the shop opens at 9:30 and I am to be there around 10:00... hes happy for the customers who come in to see me working its just the the level of noise when im going at it will surely give them a headache but I suppose it has to be done one way or another. im also worried about all the dust working its way around the shop is there a way to minimise it other than try and dampen the area a little? cheers

I haven't measured up basically offered to tile a whole bay for free but by memory it looks around 12-13 m2 something like that mate. 3 walls and 2 layers of floor tiles. I was thinking go in and take the walls down following with the floor and then look at what prep is needed. i will also post pics to get the best possible results

he also said all fixtures will be removed before i get there so just go on and start ripping out.

im also starting to get really worried tbh there was a pro stone fixer there when i was speaking to the owner so no doubt he will be floating about looking over my shoulder whilst i am doing the work lol. but the owner knows the score i told him i had been doing it for 12 months mainly self taught and he said he was willing to give me a chance and if i do well will pay me for the other bays and then pass work to me from customers so there is potentially a lot of money riding on these bays
