Tile removal, damage to walls

Nice one dave. It said 2.28 on there website last night. Quick question for you............Is it possible to put plasterboard over plasterboard to bring a wall level?? Just asking as walls half tiled from 1 metre upwards to ceiling. Customer doesnt want old tiles removing as could cause too mush damage to walls. Therefore bottom 1 metere of wall is bare plasterboard and sits shallow of tiles by about 10mm. Put 9mm board over top of existing board and wall virtually level then tile over top floor to ceiling

No probs......!!!that should be fine as long as it comes out to same level......

that £2.28 board is only 600mm wide x 1.200mm....

The handy board is 1.200mm x 900mm.......

This is exactly the same type of job I am doing tomorrow except I only have about 7 mm to existing tiles to play with.. I am using 6mm hardiebacker to bring level then another layer of Hardiebacker over the top of the lot to give a nice level surface so I can fix glass mosaics!

Cheers Dave. Top advice as usual....... Customer is friend of a friend and they are moving house so want it done as cheap as possible...........Dont they all !!! - Lol

You bet Dave. Can understand it though if moving house as I would be same. Just priced job up for another guy this evening. 15m2 floor tiling across 3 rooms (hall, kitchen and bathroom) in a flat. Plus 13.5m2 of wall tiling in bathroom (floor to ceiling). Quoted £800 including materials. He said "thats expensive". Does it include the tiles a swell?? - Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!..........Course it does mate........NOT!!!!!!!....Cheeky sod!!........Got the job though!!
