Tile spacers

it depends what tiles im using, natural stone/slate not very often if at all, ceramics and porca sometimes i do,sometimes i don't,like most depending on sizing of tiles

Spacers should be left in if used .wedges are useless in my experience they can throw a wall or floor out in no time, in my experience lash clips may give a flat floor but how do you deal with hollow points,we can all talk about what methods work for each of us its what works best for you personally.

i use my spacers as wedges with ceramics on walls, the further you push them in the wider the joint. I keep an eye on my vertical joint consistency to keep lined up and a 1.8 level on top of each course for final check. A dodgy off square tile will throw you out anyway and the quality of some ceramics means constant adjustments.

I agree about the lash clips Mike, but I use the Rubi wedges, they tend not to slip like some do. I only use them on walls for joints 2mm/3mm, I find if there is a bit of size in the tile then by pushing or puliing the wedge I can fine tune the joints as I go. But as you say each to their own, How you doin by the way ? long time no see mate, hope you are keeping well.

Only time i use spacers fully inserted is tiles smaller than or equal to 6x6's, i tile in 4 x 4 sections then pull them all square with my 600 level... Just as Darren at nett taught me!
