Hi guys, I had a hairline crack in my shower tray and decided to brave it by removing it myself. I’ve taken the doors off, and the bottom row of tiles. A lot of the plasterboard came off which is worrying, most of it’s still attached to the original tiles. Can I put them back in place somehow or is this a get someone in job?

Just done exact same job for someone, these were metros so took off the next row too and cut the plasterboard out, replace PB, tank and tile it..

Sat. Would this be an opportunity to have an update for your shower? What is the green material near the front left of the shower tray?

I’d rip it out and start again. Your going to have a new tray, with old looking tiles.

Do you have any spare original tiles? If not you’re going to struggle to find a match. Even if you just do the bottom it’ll stand out like a sore thumb.

If it was me I would pull all the tiles off and check make sure the moisture hasn’t travelled up the wall ( capillary action) then reboard, tank and tile.
With the new tiles you could make the shower cubicle a feature so it doesn’t look like your trying to match old tiles in rest of the bathroom
