Tiling an overhanging ceiling

Got a shop wall and overhang to tile Tuesday which is shaped like an upside down L. Tiles are hexagon 8mm ceramics 150x150. What's the best adhesive to fix tiles with? I suppose it's just like tiling the top of a window reveal but on a larger scale. It's all been clad in plasterboard ready to go which i think should be fine for that size tile.

As it's an external overhang I would'nt even consider plasterboard...

You'll get better grab on a backerboard too?

It's internal in a coffee shop. Can probably overboard it with backerboards when I get there. Thought plasterboard would be ok as tiles not heavy.

I've found Ardex X77 to have great grab.

Would be inclined to cement board over it and use 2 part.

8mm 150x150............... Surely White Star could handle this? i always find the grab on tubbed gear is much better than powder.

Didnt read that it was 6x6, if it was 600s then I'd use a two part.

you don't need to and will give you more suction, sometimes its best to and sometimes its best not to. And knowing that comes after a few years of experience.

If I'm using Weber adhesive then I prime as it states on the bag that plasterboard must be primed.
Check manufacturers instructions before fixing though..
