tiling onto backerboard , what addy ....

..... and grout , glazed porcelain tiles 50mm x 50mm on a 300 mm x 300 mm sheet , i am looking at using a coloured grout and i saw in B&Q that they do mapei buildfix grout with the matching Silicon colours for what appears to be a keen price , is this as good or comparable to ultracolour plus ?? 🙂

personally unless it's concrete i'm tiling onto then it's always a flexible adhesive and grout,i have never used the buildfix but as it's from mapei then it will be quality stuff,i've used there other gear and can have no complaints,so as long as it's flexible then it should be good to go

The buildfix range is as far as I know just Mapei re-branded, be prepared for a lot of cleaning off, lots of clean water needed, it's a headache with the ultra colour but the results are worth it, also watch out, ( IIRC you haven't got a huge area ) it goes off faster than a 'normal' grout

Without being funny Paul, I'm not sure if you'd qualify just yet, maybe, maybe not, I suppose it doesn't hurt to ask, I'll see if I can find the link, it might be in a section of the forum that you have access to yet, again, ask for it, it's called the Arms 😉
