hi guys,
ive been to measure a small job and the lady wantstiles just around her bath.(3.5 metres). the walls shes got at the mo are wooden tongue and groove with a satin painted finish. seems to be in good condition.........can i tile straight onto this?? with it being a satin / soft gloss finish and only 3.5 m2 i think itl be ok......any advice greatfully recieved!
Thanks in advance
tiler

thanks guys,my only problem with ripping off the t + groove is that it goes right behind the bath which means i would have to move the bath......which i cant do (my plumbing skills are non existant!) to be able to get it. would i just cut it off above the bath?

If you did it that way I would Silicon the the joint between the bath and plasterboard before setting any tiles just to double the seal or you could use bal wp1 tanking around the bath
